About This Package

4 Days Krabi: Rainforest, Four Islands & the Hong Lagoon

Four days is the length at which Krabi stops being a single boat trip and becomes a proper destination. This itinerary runs three tour days — jungle, four islands, Hong Islands — with the final morning free.

The arrival day heads inland to the Hot Spring Waterfalls, the Emerald Pool and Tiger Cave Temple. Day two is the classic four-island route from Ao Nang: Phranang Cave, Chicken Island, the Tup Island sandbar and Poda Island. Day three is the one that makes the four-day version worth it — the Hong Islands, north of Ao Nang, and Hong Lagoon, a natural pool of still water enclosed almost entirely by towering limestone walls, reached through a narrow entrance.

The Hong day also includes Pakbia and Rai Islands, lunch at Lading (Paradise) Island, and a kayak session at Hong Island, paddling the calm coastal water beneath the cliffs. It is the quietest day of the three and, for a lot of travellers, the best.

What Makes This Trip

Why This 4 Days Krabi Package Stands Apart

Shallow water and fish at the entrance to Hong Lagoon, Krabi

Hong Lagoon — The Room in the Rock

Hong Lagoon is a natural pool of still, shallow water almost completely enclosed by sheer limestone walls, reached by boat through a narrow entrance that opens only at the right tide. Inside, the water is glass-flat and the cliffs rise on every side. The Thai word hong means room, and the name is exact.

Kayaking Beneath the Cliffs

The Hong Island day includes a kayak session on the calm coastal water at the island's edge, paddling beneath overhanging limestone and into the shallows along the shore. It is unhurried and requires no experience — the water is sheltered, and it is the closest you get to the rock formations that define this coastline.

The Classic Four Islands

Day two covers Krabi's signature sea route from Ao Nang — Phranang Cave and its princess shrine beneath the Railay headland, snorkelling at Chicken Island, the low-tide sandbar at Tup Island, and Poda Island's white-sand beach and clear shallow water — with lunch provided and a return to the hotel by around 2pm.

Rainforest, Emerald Pool & Tiger Cave Temple

The arrival day runs inland to the Hot Spring Waterfalls, where naturally heated thermal pools sit under the rainforest canopy, and the Emerald Pool, a spring-fed pool that glows a clear green. It finishes at Tiger Cave Temple, a meditation centre among limestone caves and ancient trees, with an optional stairway climb to a panoramic mountaintop view.

Why Dhesu

Krabi — Arranged by Malaysia's Trusted Agency Since 1988

Three tour days in four nights only works if the operators are coordinated, because two of them leave from a pier at 08:00. Dhesu books all three with partners we use regularly and keeps you in Ao Nang so every pickup is a short transfer. The Hong Island day in particular depends on the tide for the lagoon entrance, and it is planned around it.

MATTA & IATA Registered

Fully licensed Malaysian travel agency. Southern Thailand is a short flight from Kuala Lumpur and one of our most frequently booked beach circuits.

35+ Years of Thailand Experience

Since 1988 we have been arranging Thailand holidays for Malaysians. Our Andaman coast operators are long-term partners, not rotating contractors.

Private Airport Transfers

Arrival and departure transfers are private and included, so you are met at the terminal rather than left to find a taxi rank.

Transparent Pricing

The rate shown is per person on twin sharing, with the boat tours, guide and national park fees stated plainly under inclusions and exclusions.

4 Day Krabi Package from Malaysia — Adding the Hong Islands

Most Krabi packages from Malaysia stop at the four-island tour. The Hong Islands, north of Ao Nang, are the reason to add a day.

Hong Lagoon is the draw: a still, shallow pool almost entirely enclosed by limestone walls, entered by boat through a narrow gap. Around it, Pakbia and Rai Islands are quieter than the four-island stops, and the kayak session at Hong Island puts you at water level beneath the cliffs. Doing both sea days means seeing two quite different stretches of the Krabi coast rather than one twice.

How Many Days Do You Need in Krabi?

Three days covers one boat tour and an arrival and departure. Four days is where Krabi opens up: the rainforest interior, the classic four islands, and the Hong Islands, with a free morning at the end.

Beyond four days, travellers usually either add Railay — the cliff-bound peninsula reachable only by boat, where rock climbing and a quieter beach scene are the draw — or combine Krabi with Phuket, which is a few hours away by road or a shorter hop by sea. Our Phuket and Krabi guide sets out how a combined trip is usually structured.
