4 Days — Explore the Magic of Da Lat. Strawberries, Alpine Coaster & Flower City Nights.
Vietnam's most surprising city: a highland resort at 1,500 metres elevation with a year-round spring climate, pine forests, wild hydrangeas, and the most unusual architecture in Southeast Asia. Da Lat was built by the French as a mountain retreat from the Saigon heat — they planted strawberries, built a miniature railway, and erected a casino. The result is unlike anywhere else in Vietnam. The Datanla Waterfalls alpine coaster — 2,400 metres, the longest in Asia — starts the second day. The Crazy House follows: Hundi Nga's Alice-in-Wonderland guesthouse with no straight walls, no right angles, and rooms shaped like animals.

4 Days Explore the Magic of Da Lat
Da Lat is one of the most distinctive cities in Vietnam — and the one that surprises Malaysian visitors most, because it looks nothing like what people expect from Vietnam. Located in the Central Highlands at 1,500 metres elevation, Da Lat was developed by the French colonial administration as a mountain resort from the 1890s onwards. They built villas in the French country style, planted strawberry fields, built a European-style railway station, and planted pine forests. The result is a city that feels simultaneously European and tropical, with a year-round temperature of 15–25°C regardless of the season below.
Three nights in Da Lat allows every essential site: Mongo Land and Xuan Huong Lake on arrival, the Datanla alpine coaster and Crazy House on day two, and the Buddhist temple circuit on day three (Linh Phuoc Pagoda's seven-storey dragon tower and Bali Heaven Gate). The city's night market is one of the most atmospheric in Vietnam — running every evening along the lantern-lit streets of the old town, with vendors selling fresh strawberries, avocados, artichokes, and Da Lat wine.
AirAsia operates direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Da Lat (Lien Khuong Airport, DLI) — a 2.5-hour direct flight that makes Da Lat one of the most convenient highland destinations in Southeast Asia for Malaysian travellers. Why This 4-Day Da Lat Package Stands Apart

Datanla Waterfalls Alpine Coaster — Asia's Longest
The Datanla Waterfalls alpine coaster is 2,400 metres long — the longest alpine coaster in Asia. The descent follows the natural contour of the mountain through pine forest, past the waterfalls and their splash pools, with gradient changes and curves that make it a genuine thrill while remaining safe for all ages (the cart has its own braking system that the rider controls). A two-way ride (up by the mountain chair lift, down on the coaster) is included in the package. The waterfall basin at the bottom has several levels of cascades accessible on foot.

Crazy House (Hang Nga Guesthouse) — No Straight Lines
The Crazy House (officially Hang Nga Guesthouse) is the most unusual architectural structure in Vietnam. Designed by Vietnamese architect Dang Viet Nga (daughter of former North Vietnamese President Truong Chinh) and constructed from 1990, the building has no straight walls, no right angles, and no conventional rooms — every space is organic and flowing, with surfaces covered in sculpted concrete imitating trees, animals, and cave walls. It is still a functioning guesthouse — 10 rooms, each named and shaped after an animal (Giraffe Room, Tiger Room, Eagle Room). The rooftop terrace has views over central Da Lat.

Linh Phuoc Pagoda — Seven-Storey Dragon Temple
Linh Phuoc Pagoda (built 1994–2000) is the most visually spectacular temple in Da Lat — possibly in Vietnam. The nine-storey bell tower (49 metres) is the tallest in Vietnam. The main hall exterior is covered in a continuous dragon composed of 12,000 beer bottles and ceramic shards in emerald, gold, and blue mosaic. The interior has an 11.5-metre standing Buddha in white porcelain with an azure robe. A second dragon — 49 metres long — winds around the exterior courtyard. The detail and scale of the mosaic work, done by hand over six years, is extraordinary.

Da Lat Night Market & Flower City Evenings
Da Lat's Night Market runs from Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street to Hoa Binh Square every evening. Vendors sell the produce that Da Lat is famous for: strawberries (grown in greenhouses on the hillsides above the city), avocados (Da Lat grows 70% of Vietnam's avocados), artichokes, local wine, chrysanthemum tea, and dried fruits. Street food vendors sell com tam (broken rice), bun bo Hue, and banh can (Da Lat's miniature rice cake specialty). The Xuan Huong Lake at night — the central lake with the forested islets — is where Dalat locals walk, row boats, and enjoy the cool highland evenings.
