Ladakh Tour from Malaysia
Ladakh is one of the most extraordinary destinations in India, a high-altitude desert of stark mountains, turquoise lakes and ancient monasteries. This 7 day package, flying into Leh, covers the highlights with acclimatisation built in.
You visit the great Indus valley monasteries, cross Khardung La to the Nubra Valley, and reach the unforgettable Pangong Lake, all with permits arranged and an experienced driver guide.
For an overland version, see our 12 day Srinagar to Leh road trip.
Altitude and the Best Time to Go
Leh sits at around 3,500 metres, and the passes are far higher, so altitude sickness is a real consideration. This itinerary includes a full acclimatisation day on arrival, and we strongly advise taking the altitude seriously.
Ladakh is best visited from June to September, when the weather is mild and the high passes and lakes are accessible. Flights into Leh operate year-round, but the full circuit needs the summer months.
